![]() Orsus was slowly turning to stone, while Thal was too quick to be affected. Lyle and Kresk immediately failed their CON saves against the monster’s gaze in spectacularly ridiculous fashion, both becoming statues instantly. Remembering that the big frankenstein mofos were pretty much immune to nonmagical weapons, Kresk readied Blackflame to take on the approaching monstrosity, while Lyle peppered it with an eldritch blast to keep it at bay.Īnd then the lady on the couch sat up and turned around. Orsus opened the door to the next room, where we saw some semi-feminine creature lounging on a divan, some statues in the corners, and oh look another goddamn flesh golem that seemed to be a bit perturbed that we were interrupting the feng shui of its lair. Slightly undermanned, the team of Kresk, Lyle, Orsus and Thal decided to press on exploring into the dungeon, figuring that if they didn’t venture too far, nothing bad could happen. There was a lot of running in circles and taking cover, but we burned them down in the end and made it all the way to fifth level!įrom the journal of Lyle, Halfling Warlock: We did retrieve one chest from a pool, but it summoned a water elemental and two flesh golems that gave us a hell of a fight. That being done, the party entered into a large room with big carved columns holding the roof up, six strange pools with different liquids in them and some visibly containing chests, and a giant statue that scorching rayed a few folks when Thal failed one of the pool’s riddles. We gave Thord and the minotaur their freedom, swearing them both to an oath of nonviolence against each other so that the minotaur could lead Thord out of the dungeon through a tunnel he knew of, and Thord would mark the route with chalk for us so that we could later make an exit. Who is also wandering the dungeon possibly. Darwa/Boo Boo Doll seems to have gotten herself petrified somewhere in the dungeon, and the “Earth Key” is in the hands of Lump, the half-orc/half-ogre simpleton. Some of the dwarves get lent out as muscle for the Red Wizards. Illefarn was under the tyranny of an orc tribe (hence where the dworcs including his son Grit come from). The dwarf was a bit of a prick, but let us know that he only served the Red Wizards because his dwarf clan under Mt. With their assailant cowed (hah!) the party found Thord, one of the mercenaries, being cooked alive on a spit. Rusk and Lyle took some hits before one of the minotaurs dropped and Lyle succeeded on an Intimidate check by threatening to Shatter the minotaur’s petrified brethren. We then found a raised portcullis leading to a passageway where we found some petrified minotaurs and their two surviving friends who charged us. She wasn’t hostile at all, and basically dared us to survive her dungeon. ![]() “The wizard was nice, the others were pathetic” She explained that her husband (the wraith we killed?) was a grave robber by trade thousands of years ago and they built this dungeon to house their relics and challenge anyone who would take them. ![]() She let us know that yes, Darwa and her mercenaries had been through. We snuck through the dungeon and found Lady Ambergul, who appeared to be a rather cordial mummy. Without Orsus, we managed to not smash any doors. And so the party romped through some more of the dungeon! From our halfling warlock:
